My Reads of 2019!

2019 has been a phenomenally great year for me in terms of the number and quality of books I have read. With marriage, motherhood, career and countless other responsibilities, my reading had taken a back seat. But this year, I’ve been fortunate enough to make time to get my reading habit back in order. For the first time in 6 years, I read like I’ve never seen a book before, devouring every novel, relishing every page and craving for more with every read. So as the year is drawing to a close, here’s a sneak peak into my journey in books for 2019.

Oh what an amazing year of books it has been. I deviated from my usual course to make way for a bunch of books on diverse topics – from wry satires to supernatural novels to more serious reads involving women’s rights and issues of race to addictive, haunting thrillers, it’s been one hell of a reading journey and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

Having regained my passion for books, I became active in GoodReads again, participating and completing yet another Reading Challenge while enjoying my reading journey at the same time. And when I really, really like a book, I want the whole world to read it. And thus, after a hiatus, I began blogging again posting book reviews both here and in GoodReads, sharing with the world my love for books. Writing is truly therapeutic and I didn’t realize how much I had missed it until I started blogging again. But that’s another post for another day!

While there’s a lot left to explore in my TBR list, I’m truly proud of the progress I’ve made. Hoping for a brand new decade of life changing books, beautiful stories and inspiring reads.

How has your reading journey been like? I would love to hear from you all about it. In the meantime, let’s keep our fingers crossed for not just a new year but a brand new decade of life changing books, beautiful reads and inspiring stories!
